Permanent Residence Pathway for Ukrainian nationals

Permanent Residence pathway for Ukrainian nationals is now open as of October 23, 2023. Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada announced this pathway in June 2023 and this public policy is now open and accepting Permanent Residence applications for Ukrainian nationals. This public policy will be in place for one year and accept applications until October 22, 2023.

There are two categories under which applications will be accepted from Ukrainian nations. Under first category, the applicant needs to be a Ukrainian Citizen, have a family member in Canada who is a Canadian citizen, or a permanent resident and the applicant needs to be in Canada at the time of application and the time applicant is granted Permanent residence. The applicant needs to have a valid temporary status in Canada for this category

Second category is for spouse or common law partners of a Ukrainian national who has family in Canada. For this category, the applicant must be a spouse or common law partner of a Ukrainian national. Your spouse must be unable to leave Ukraine, be missing, have passed away or presumed to have passed away.
