Spouse Open Work Permit

SOWP allows spouses of certain temporary foreign workers to work for any employer anywhere in Canada. Who can apply for SOWP:

• Foreign nationals whose spouse is in Canada on study permit
• Foreign nationals whose spouse is in Canada on work permit (based on NOC and wage of the spouse in Canada). However, IRCC now have introduced a new two-year temporary measure, that would allow spouses of all temporary foreign workers irrespective of their job skill and wage.  Click here to read more
