French-language proficiency
Not tied to a NOC list. Requires French test results of at least NCLC 7 in speaking, listening, reading and writing, plus that round's other requirements.
Category ≠ automatic invitation
Being eligible for a category doesn't guarantee an ITA. Candidates are still ranked by CRS score within that category's round.
Canadian-experience-only categories
Physicians, senior managers and researchers "with Canadian work experience" require the qualifying year to be worked in Canada — not abroad.
Skilled military recruits
Requires Foreign Skilled Military Applicant status, 10+ years continuous service, a Canadian Armed Forces job offer, and a 2-year post-secondary credential.
