Immigration Levels Plan 2023-2025
On November 1, 2022 Canadian government has announced its immigration levels plan for the coming three years. This plan indicates how many new immigrants will be expected to enter Canada from year 2023- 2025.
Canadian government is expecting to welcome 465000 immigrants to Canada in 2023.
This number will even be more for the year of 2024. In 2024, the target will be 485000.
The Canadian immigration system is expecting to allow up to 500,000 immigrants in the year of 2025.
IRCC has released its detailed immigration plan that breaks down the targeted numbers into different categories. The target number for express entry and PNP will rise for the next three years. It is expected that 82880 express entry immigrants will come to Canada in coming year (including principal applicant, their spouses and dependents), and this number is going to be more in 2024 and 2025. PNPs will be another program that will be the main immigration category allowing immigrants to enter canada in coming three years.
It is also clear from the breakdown provided that IRCC is committed to reunite the families that’s why the number for Parents and Grand Parents admission is going to increase for 2023 to 2025.
Canada targets to welcome 28, 500 parents and grandparents in 2023, this number will increase in 2024 to 34000 and again will be maximum in 2025 that is 36, 000.
The only class that will face a decline in entries of immigrants is Refugee and Humanitarian class. This number will fall from 76,000 to 72,750.
It is evident that Canada is going through labour shortage for various reasons and Canadian government is making the efforts to cope up with the labour shortages by opening doors for more immigrants every year.
